Although horses can be kept behind many different types of fencing, the serious horse owner generally wants a fence that is both safe for their horses as well as pleasing to the eye. A fence that has combinations of wood posts and powerflex posts accomplishes that !
Pictured above is HotCote vinyl coated wire on 1-1/4" PowerFlex Posts. Another picture on this page shows 1/4" braided electric rope on 1-5/8" PowerFlex Posts. Both of these configurations are very attractive as well as safe for your horse. These PowerFlex systems are also very easy for you to "do-it-yourself". HotCote is also available in black and this looks very attractive on Black PowerFlex Posts. This system is so flexible that you can design it about any way that you want. Pictured above is an Equine fence system using #1472 Black PowerFlex Posts and 4 strands of Black HotCote (coated hi-tensile wire) This makes for a very attractive fence and blends in superbly with your landscape while being highly visible to your horse.
The "Mule" corner system is taylor made for horse fencing. It a 2" fiberglass system with 1/4" wall thickness. The corner and braces are set on screw in augers, so you dont have to dig a hole. A self insulating corner for electric fencing. They look great and are very strong.

The Horse Head Insulator above and the 1/4" rope are a natural for an equine fence. The insulator can be used on a variety of posts and they accept the 1/4" rope and the Hotcote vinyl coated wire products really well. Application is limited only by your imagiination.

Pictured above is 1/4" electrified rope, in a HorseHead Insulator that is screwed to a 1-5/8" Powerflex Post. The Hotecote Insulated wire will also fit into this insulator. And, although the Powerflex post is self insulating, these HorseHead Insulators do look really nice and provide for an abrasion free rope attachment.
