This Speedrite end insulator has a lot of glass content and is a very tough and durable end strain insulator. It works well for crimping or for hand knotting. If you hand knot, you will appreciate the way it fits your hand well without turning when hand knotting. Its Gary's personal choice.

This O'Brien End Strain Insulator is a good one. It has deep wire groves and is a good fit in your hand. Over the years we have noticed people NOT pulling from the long end of the insulator. With these deep grooves it almost makes it impossible to install this backwards! I will admit to being in a hurry and doing it wrong also, even though I know better.

The veratile Double "U" end strain insulator has been around a long time and is still popular. It has an embedded steel wear band in the wire groove to prevent premature wear into the insulator. A good choice when you crimp.

They will do the job for you with hi-tensile wire.
