This is our Premium Tensioner. Spring clip design and probably the most Heavy Duty unit we have seen. The shoulder is a thick stainless steel. It has a large hub and has a hole in the end that you can pass the wire through. (with this hole in the end, you can load it on the wire as you pull it out and you won't have to cut the wire to install it) It can be tensioned with wrench, pliers, 1/2" socket drive or crescent. It's the BEST.
This is our Featured "Preferred" Tensioner

This is our economy in-line tensioner. It has a spring clip inside the shoulder and needs to be tensioned with a special handle. NOTE: this item will be discontinued when we exhaust existing stock. It is being replaced by the one below.
Item # SASAL-O $2.00 each

* NEW *

This is a new tensioner for us. It is very very similar to the SASAL above. And, when we are out of SASAL-O's this new one will be replacing it in our line-up of tensioners. It has a well galvanized shoulder and the axle is a touch longer on this one. You do need the handle below to tension this one. This is a good choice for a tensioner for floating braces, as your brace wire is down low at ground level, so the handle allows you to tension this easily when the wire is close to the ground.
Item # SASAL $ 2.00 each

Wheel Tensioner

Often called a "Donut" or "Daisy wheel", this is an on-line tensioner that is installed at mid-pull without cutting the wire. Simply align witht the slot in the side and begin tensioning. When using the tool below - it will lock the tension while you install the keeper pin. It is tensioned with either a 1/2" socket drive or a special tool shown below. It's a popular tensioner and used by many. Comes with the lock key pin.
Item # EZT $2.25 each
Handle for this tensioner is item # OLWH $7.00 each

This handle inserts into the hub of the Daisy tensioner above. As you tension the Daisy, the washers on the handle ends will attach snugly onto the wire maintaining hands off tension while you are inserting the pin. Although we do not carry it, there is a nice ratchet type tool available for this also, if you want to spend $125, let us know.

Economy Wheel Tensioner
* NEW *

This is a new wheel tensioner for us. It is not as sturdy as the EZT above. The hub is narrower and the construction is lighter in weight. But, it has a very attractive price and may serve a purpose in your fencing project. You've asked for a cheaper wheel tensioner, so here it is !
Item # EZTE $ 2.00 each

Tension Springs

Although we are not personally a big fan of compression springs, some people like them. They do add some cushion on short runs and help in areas where you may expect trees falling on your fence, etc. Many people also use them on horse fences. Hi-tensile wire will stretch about 2% of its initial tension, then return to its original tension. It may not sound like much, but that's 26 feet in a quarter mile.
Item # TS $5.50 each
