Open Taps are for Electrical Connections only. They are aluminum and are not for splicing as a strength connection.. Use the 3-4 slot in your crimp tool. Recommended for all of your electrical connections and jumper wires for permanent installation.  Very useful to have these in  your tool box to install jumpers etc, after you  have terminated the wire. If you want the option to remove this later, then consider the SBLT below.

Item # CT4   Open tap crimp  $.025 each

Item # CT4-100 Bottle of 100  $24.00

SPLIT BOLT LINE TAPS are used for electrical connections where you may not want it to be permanent. They are made of zinc and can be removed at a later date. Do not overtighten these as with the split bolt you can break them if overtightened. (Repeat: DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN  SPLIT BOLTS - TIGHTEN FOR A SNUG ELECTRICAL CONNECTION ONLY.)

We now have two varieties of split bolts.  The SBLT-10 is the original one that we have sold in the past. They are fairly heavy duty and seem to be stronger. The SBLT-20 is a new offering for us. They are not as strong as the orginal one, but we have had people wanting a more economical one. So here it is.

Item #SBLT-10  (box of 10)      $ 8.50

Item # SBLT-20 (bottle of 20)   $ 13.00  (NEW)  These are an econo model and I would recommend tightening them up finger tight  plus a quarter turn or less and avoid overtightening. These will make a good electrical connection and work fine if you dont overtighten them.

The Twist Link or Wrap Connector is a pre-formed spirelled hi-tensile wire that has grit glued onto the inside curves. It works well on wrap around insulators and in-line connections. You can use two for an in line wire splice. They are removable with no tools and can be re-used.

Photo above is of a Twist Link used with a wrap-a-round insulator on a corner post.

Item # CWC  $0.50 each.
