Powerflex has been outfitting working ranchers with electric fence, energizers, polybraid and livestock water systems since 1994. More than 30,000 producers have bought from us since then — mostly rotational graziers running real operations in beef, dairy, sheep, goats, bison and horses, where the fence has to hold stock through a thunderstorm and still read tight in five years.
We started in Seymour, Missouri and still run the store and warehouse there — you can walk in and buy off the shelf. Today we are headquartered in Texas and ship to all fifty states. What has not changed is who picks up the phone.
What makes us different
We are not a farm store
that happens to sell fencing
That distinction is the whole business. A farm store carries what the distributor offers. We carry what works on grass, and we find out which is which the hard way — on our own ground and on the operations of partners who graze for a living.
- We turn products down. If a step-in post snaps in cold weather or an energizer under-delivers against its own joule rating, it doesn't go in the catalog, regardless of margin.
- We stock deep on the few hundred SKUs graziers actually reorder — polybraid, reels, tread-ins, insulators, hi-tensile, HDPE pipe and fittings — rather than thin across ten thousand.
- We will tell you not to buy something. If netting is a better answer than collars for your place, or a 5-joule unit covers what you were about to over-buy, that is what you will hear on the phone.

We developed our own
More than 50 SKUs in the catalog were designed by our own staff and the consultant ranchers we work with — people who run stock for a living. Powerflex Polybraid and the Hi-Tensile Guardian woven wire are the clearest examples: they exist because we could not buy what the job required, so we had them built to our specification.
We distribute the best of the rest
The lines that are genuinely best in category: Speedrite, Stafix and Gallagher energizers and fencing hardware, Philmac fittings for HDPE water systems, Nofence virtual fencing collars.
We would rather sell you the right Gallagher unit than the wrong Powerflex one.

Coming in for something specific? Call ahead and we will have it pulled and waiting, which saves you standing at the counter while somebody walks the racks.
If you are making the drive to work out a whole system, bring your acreage, your stock numbers and a rough sketch of the place — that is a much shorter conversation in person than it is on the phone.

Ranchers are most of it. But the people who move grazing practice forward are a wider group, and we work with all of them: grazing consultants, fence contractors, ag retailers and dealers, conservation districts, university extension programs, and the USDA and NRCS staff writing cost-share plans.
If you sell to working ranchers, we run an active dealer program with wholesale pricing, drop-ship and access to our technical people for your customers — details on the become a dealer page. And for a single large job, a half-mile of perimeter or a full grazing setup for a 500-cow outfit, call us for pallet pricing. You do not need a dealer account for that.
