12.5 gauge is the wire most permanent fences are built from, which makes its crimp sleeve the one you burn through fastest. The Strainrite 12.5 Gauge Crimp Sleeves in a pottle of 500 are the bulk option — sized for 1.6mm to 2.5mm fencing wire, for crews who would rather order once than reorder mid-build.
Every Strainrite crimp sleeve carries a water-resistant grit adhesive, so the join keeps its grip through wet and frozen conditions instead of working loose over a season. Crimped correctly — four to five crimps with a fencing tool — the joint exceeds the breaking strain of the wire itself, so the splice stops being the weak point in your run.
