3.0 Joules of Output, Controlled From Your Phone — The MB3 IP Energizer

The Strainrite MB3 is the mid-size unit in the MBX range — 3.0 joules of output from 4.2 joules stored, running on either mains power or a 12V battery. It sits between the 1.5 joule MB1.5 and the 4.5 joule MB4.5.

What sets the MBX range apart is what it does when you're not standing next to it. The unit hosts its own Wi-Fi network with a Virtual Keypad you reach from a phone or PC browser, works with the IP Energizer® Controller app for remote control and monitoring, and responds to Fence Line Communications — switch it on or off by touching a compatible remote to the fence wire anywhere on the property, instead of walking back to the shed. The MBX series is built for Strainrite by JVA, on more than 25 years of electric fencing experience.

Setup Note

Configure the unit through the Virtual Keypad first. You need the VKP to set up advanced features and to join the energizer to your local Wi-Fi network — that connection is what enables the IP Energizer Controller app and Cloud Router.
