Most portable posts have one job: hold the wire up. The Hotpost Dura-Top Multiwire does something else — power redistributes through the spring steel shaft and clips, repowering broken wires from a parallel live wire.
That matters on a multi-wire temporary fence, where one broken strand normally means a dead section until someone walks the line and finds it. Here the live wire above or below carries power across through the post itself, so the fence stays hot while you're still getting round to the repair.
The Dura-Top head reduces tangling and eliminates wear — the failure that finishes most pigtail posts — and the hot-dipped galvanised pressed steel foot is Strainrite's own design for ground holding.
