Jobe Topaz Industro Float Valve – High-Temperature Industrial Float Valve for Cooling Towers & Storage Tanks

The Jobe Topaz Industro Float Valve is a high-flow industrial float valve built to maintain water levels where a valve needs high mechanical strength and heat resistance. Made by Jobe Valves of New Zealand, it's rated for water up to 176°F (80°C), making it a strong fit for cooling towers, storage tanks, car wash systems and high-pressure cleaning equipment.

The Industro takes the compact Topaz design and upgrades the materials: a Grivory valve body, a Santoprene valve seal and 304 stainless steel hardware. It shuts down slowly to help minimize water hammer, and holds your water level within a 3/4"–2-1/2" range that increases as inlet pressure increases.

Choose a 1/2", 3/4", 1" or 1-1/4" long tail inlet, each supplied with a backnut and seal washer for through-wall mounting. The valve mounts top, side or bottom entry, horizontally or vertically, so it adapts to most tanks and cisterns.

Set the water level by hand with no tools, lock the valve off with the built-in switch, and add Jobe's FrostPro anti-freeze device (sold separately) through the built-in port.

From cooling tower make-up water to light industrial, air conditioning and irrigation installations, the Topaz Industro keeps demanding water systems topped up.

1/2" Long Tail
4" thread length, with backnut and seal washer.

3/4" Long Tail
1-1/2" thread length, with backnut and seal washer.

1" Long Tail
2-1/8" thread length, with backnut and seal washer. More flow than the 3/4" at the same pressure.

1-1/4" Long Tail
2-3/8" thread length, with backnut and seal washer. The largest Industro inlet, with more flow than the 3/4" at the same pressure.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the Industro different from the standard Topaz?
The Industro is rated to 176°F (80°C) versus 140°F (60°C) for the standard Topaz, and uses a Grivory body and Santoprene seal for higher mechanical strength and heat resistance.

What applications is it designed for?
Jobe lists cooling towers, storage tanks and cisterns, car wash and high-pressure cleaning systems, and light industrial, air conditioning and irrigation installations.

Will it work on low-pressure systems?
The Industro operates from 5 psi (0.3 bar) up to 100 psi (7 bar).

How do I prevent back-siphoning?
Jobe recommends mounting the valve at least two inlet diameters above the overflow. Some mounting positions may not comply with local regulations, so check yours.
