The Philmac Female Adaptors are used when you are going from HDPE pipe to Standard Thread pipe, it is compression fitted on one end standard pipe on the other. 

• These are Outside Diameter (OD) controlled 
• IPS-OD Fittings for ASTM D3035 and ASTM F714 HDPE Pipe
• 3G compression fittings have a 50 year+ design life
